  • 1.  Quarantine Messages Have Incorrect Timestamp

    Posted Mar 11, 2009 02:13 PM

    Hi,

We are using Brightmail Anti-Spam (BAS) for Solaris 6.01.  With the daylight savings change a couple of days ago, quarantined messages now have the wrong timestamp in their headers and in the quarantine display itself.  It is one hour behind, since time was not set one hour ahead with the daylight savings change.

The OS system time is correct.  I have tried restarting the tomcat and mqsql process with no effect.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

So, this is going to be a bit of a guess i'm afraid.

I'm pretty sure that Brightmail 6.0.1 was released before the US changed their DST dates.  So maybe in a couple of weeks, when it passes the old DST timeframe, it'll show correctly.

I'd recommend getting on to version 6.1 for many reasons but you might also find this issue fixed there too.

Thanks Ian, I'll check again in a couple of weeks.
