Here is the solution to this SYMOEM.DLL problem.Create that folder c:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\OEM
Copy file DefUtDCD.DLL in that subfolder OEM
(or any other Symantec *.dll file > 200K)
Rename it to SYMOEM.DLL
Check with Filemon.exe
The problem is over !
If you don't do this, your harddisk will be ruined within one year !!!!!
This file is being looked up several times per second!
This product has ruined many, many harddisks.
