    Hi,
    i have this scenario
    Pc Xp sp2 with Corporate edition 10.1.5.5000 "server" with SSC
    Pc W98 with version 9
     
    W98 recives all configuration and file definition from server but it's not shown in SSC (I have chech the box "manage old client" restarting the server and so on).
    I copy from server GRC.DAT in to W98
    Rescan the network and cleared cache ..... nothing.
     
    Any idea?

    p.s. no firewall on the pc
    if i search or scan the network with tools in ssc i see my w98 client

    Hi Carletto,
     
    I would have a look at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Clients
     
    If you can see the Win98 client in there you should see it in the SSC. If it is not there, try copying the GRC.DAT file you will find on the server to the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition\7.5 folder on the client and wait for a few minutes.
     
    The GRC.DAT file contains configuration settings for the client that will be applied and hopefully that will force the client to reappear in the SSC
