Question: Where is the logoff or signout ?
Created: 08 Oct 2012 | Updated: 09 Oct 2012 | 3 comments
its a simple question but i have not been able to find the logoff or sign out click in the SMP 7.1 SP2 console.
the only way i can think of is close the web browse and then wait for the cache to be clear. it would be useful to have logoff option for testing with multiple user account.
am i over looking it or is it disabled ?

SMP doesn't have a logout/signout button or menu selection. If you want to test under different accounts, you will probably have to do a Run As on IE, or if you have VMs you'll have to logon to the VM under the different accounts.
I think you can adjust the IE security settings so that you get prompted on a workstation every time you browse in IE to the NS. Check the Zone shown at the bottom of IE in the status bar. then go to internet Options > Security tab > [zone] > Custom level > scroll to "User Authentication" at the bottom and try "Prompt for user name and password"

Thanks dsmith1954 and andykn101. I was hoping to have the sign out for security reason as well.
