Endpoint Protection

I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere on the website, but I was not able to find an answer.

Our environment is running on the 12.1.1101.401 client, and we have upgraded our SEPM server to 12.1.2015.2015. In the past, when we upgraded from 11.0.6xxx I included the definitions with the upgrade package so that they would not have to do an entire content download during the upgrade. (We have alot of low bandwidth remote sites).

My question is, for the upgrade to 12.1.2015.2015, since both clients are of the 12.1 branch, will the new version reuse the existing up-to-date definitions on the client, or will it need a fresh copy after the upgrade? (AKA Do I need to include content on the next upgrade to avoid clients redownloading all content?)

I am not aware if the definition format has changed from 12.1.1101.401 to 12.1.2015.2015 or if the simple task of upgrading breaks SEP's trust of the definition files.

Should not be necessary for clients to get new definition content. They will use the existing and update from there. At least this is what I've seen during our upgrade process in 12.1.

yes, it uses the existing definition.use the basic content while creating package ythis will not have definition included in package.
