Questions about VMware vStorage Backup

Hi All,
Previously i was using VCB 1.5, esx 4.0 and NBU 6.5 to backup my VMs. I am planning to upgrade to nbu 7 and vStorage.
I have a few questions regarding vstorage.
Do i still need a big staging disk area on my off-host backup host to contain the vm snapshot?
I remember VCB can only backup 1 VM at a time if the VM's VMDKs are in the same datastore due to the snapshot. Is this limitation still valid in vStorage?
any other concerns i should know before recommending the changes to management? :)
thanks a million.

Enhancements introduced with
Enhancements introduced with NBU 7 are listed in NetBackup for VMware Guide http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH127072
The following items are new in this 7.0 release:
■ NetBackup supports VMware vSphere with vStorage APIs for Data Protection.
VMware Consolidated Backup (VCB) is still supported but not required in most
cases. vStorage eliminates the need to make a VCB copy of a virtual machine
snapshot on the VMware backup host. Instead, NetBackup backs up the
snapshot directly from the ESX server.
Supporting Storage Foundation and VCS on Unix and Windows as well as NetBackup on Unix and Windows.
