Quick question about duplicating

Hello everyone.
I have a setup where data is first backed to tape then a duplicate job runs which copies to disk. Is there a way to have the duplicate job backup from the original source than using the tape to duplicate?

Hi, you can create a seperate job that runs at a different time that backs up to disk. Or you can use a policy that uses the same selection list. see https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/techtip-using-backup-exec-policies-and-templates
You may find that things go faster if you backup to disk then duplicate to tape.
When you say "duplicate from soure", what you are doing is actually running another backup job.
