Quick Question Regarding Helpdesk
I will be rebuilding the helpdesk server.
I want to preserve the existing Altiris_Incidents DB.
I have read the Helpdesk manual regarding moving the helpdesk to a new server. It mainly deals with reconfiguring the knowledge base libraries, which I am not using.
I am under the assumption that after I build the new NS and add the heldesk solution all I need to do is point the new server to the existing Altiris_Incidents DB and I can pick up where I left off before the rebuild. The only thing that will change is the name of the server.
Would that be correct?

I forgot to mention that the Altiris_Incidents DB is on a separate SQL server.
