Quicktime update reminder

Im Using Altiris Deployment Console 6.9 and im creating a package to deploy Quicktime 7.50.61.0 to a number of users machines on the network. The silent install deploys sucessfully however so does a reminder to update to Quicktime version 7.5.5. Is there a way to suppress this update reminder when creating the package. I've heard that the quicktime.qtp (Quicktime preferences file) could be used for this purpose, but im not exactly sure how this could be done.
Any feedback on this would be appreciated.
