"Nothing to report" in Virus definition not update email notification.
Hi,
In SEPM > Monitor >Notification, I've created notification condition for the virus definition out-of-date.
The condition is if 2 computers with the definition older than 2 days then an email should be send to me.
I did recieve the notification, but when i click on the attached report into my email, it gets open in the IE but the strange thing here is I am getting the message "Nothing to report.".
Infact there are some machines which are still having old definition and are online in SEPM.
Just waiting for the update from you guys..

I am also experiencing this same thing. An event is apparently occurring which matches a notification condition, alert emails are being sent and received, but the attached report says "Nothing to Report". Logging into the SEP console and checking the notifications there shows the same thing. It seems intermittent, however; I have received reports containing valid information as well.
It doesn't appear to be just the definition alert either. I often receive Security Alert Notifications that contain "Nothing to Report" for each section.
Ideas?
Hi Friend,
I got the solution for this.
Delete the existing Rule which you have, logoff the SEPM and re-login to SEPM and create the same rule again and then you will get it working.
Try and let me know. Also be ensure that you must be using SEP 11.0 M2 MP1

Hello,
I upgraded from MR2 to MR2 MP2 to try your solution, but after deleting and recreating the notification I'm still getting "Nothing to Report" emails. When I check the System Logs I can see that each of these "Nothing to Report" messages corresponds to a warning about virus defs not updating. So the system was right to send the notification -- but it's not sending the correct information.
Thanks anyway.

Hi,
I am experiencing the similar problem. I have notification for Virus Outbreak. I am getting two emails, one with virus report and second with "nothing to report".
Sometimes I get only two emails saying "nothing to report".
So far no luck with recreating rules.
Any advice?
Thanks

Hi,
Pls upgrade to latest version i.e. SEP MR4MP2.
But before upgrading to SEP MR4MP2, kindly upgrade to MR4 first and then to MR4MP2 as upgradation from MR2 to MR4MP2 is not supported.

Hi,
We are already running MR4 MP2.
I have found that this issue was probably caused by wrong Group filter set on Notification. I was missing * on Group filter.
