Hello,

I am receiving the following message when I try to back up one of my servers (where xxxxxxx is the server name).

The problem is that the machine does not have a G:\ drive. It has C, D, E, and F with F:\ being the CD-ROM. It appears to be remembering a thumb drive that was used to import some data quite a while back and is now no longer in use.

I've tried both editing and recreating the jobs and nothing I seem to do will get rid of the error. Backup Exec seems to expect there to be a G:\ even if I only choose specific drives to back up (rather than clicking the whole computer in the job setup screen).

Is there any way I can remove this reference so I don't see this error every day?

Go into the job's properties, click Selections, click Text.  Can you see the item?  If so, select the unwanted item, click Delete, and click Submit.

That appears to have worked. Thank you very much.

I never thought about using the text view.

Don't feel bad.  Took me at least a year to figure that out.  :smileysurprised:
