  • 1.  RAAD not showing remote log files!

    Is there any reason why RAAD 7.5.3153.0 will not show log files. Everything else seems to be OK.!?

    The first reason may be closed Firewall if this does not help, the answer to these questions

    1. Do you have the following ports open in Firewall for UNC :ports 137-139, 445.
    2. What version of SMA agent and OS clients are you using?
    3. Which of the user are you using during to connection?
    4. What is the error message when you click on Log button?
    5. Which path are you using to open logs?


    How to Check: take the log_file's path of the remote computer for example: \\host_name\c$\ProgramData\Symantec\Symantec Agent\Logs\Agent.log and try to open it from the computer where RAAD is installed

    No firewall in between or turned on so thats not the issue.

    Client is Server 2008 R2 (all though it happens on Win7x64 also) - agent version is 7.5.1675.2

    Logging in as Domain Administrator

    Dont see any error messages - the logs just dont show up.

    I am not using any path to open the logs but RAAD is using

    p.s. I notice the progress bar never changes colourwhen in previous versions it did
