Random scans after upgrade from Symantec Corporate 10.x

I upgraded my network from 10.x to SEP 11.x and several of my clients are experiencing random scans.  I have a policy setup to schedule a scan at 10PM and all options in regards to scanning on content update and what not have been disabled.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas where these scans are coming from?

Yes, I had this too.  If it's the same thing that I had, the extra scans are not exactly random.  They have been "ported" from your old 10.1 environment, but are now not visible to the UI of the client.

Pick a machine and look at HKLM\Software\symantec\symantec endpoint protection\AV\LocalScans\ClientServerScheduledScans

This key was imported from 10.1, I'm told.  I deleted this key and found that in most cases things started working properly.  I had one client where the only fix was to run cleanwipe and reinstall.

Hope this helps!

I too have one person with a random scan and deleted the reg key.

I might do the wiping next.
