Hello,

Are the rapid release downloaded automatically on LUA/SEPM servers ? or is there a way to be sure to only download Certified released (once Rapid released are validated against false positive) ?

Hello,

Only Certified Definitions gets downloaded to the LUA & SEPM server.

The Rapid Release Defintions needs manual download and installations.

Download the RapidRelease Manually from the site provided below in .jdb format.

http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=rr

FTP link to RR defs, if needed:

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/antivirus_definitions/norton_antivirus/rapidrelease/

and

Check these Articles to work on the steps provided below:

How to apply rapid release definitions to a Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client.

Hope that helps!!

No, SEPM or LUA do not update/download Rapid release defiition.

SEPm and LUA only downloads certified definition.

Hi Xtof,

If you think it would be a good enhancement for SEPM or LUA 2.x to download and use RR defs, please support these:

Add a rapid release button to the SEPM.

Liveupdate Administrator - Possibility to push rapid release definition

With thanks and best regards,

Mick
