RDeploy Error "The mode has not been set"
When booting to WinPE, the agent connects to the DS and recieves the image job assignment. However, when it tries to image the computer, RDeploy flashes quickly on the screen and then disappears. In the Console the status shows that "RDeploy: The operation was cancelled" and the RDLog says the following:
Error description:
The mode has not been set.
Possible causes:
In text mode, all necessary options were not specified on the command line

This has recently started happening and I am unable to either create or deploy images. I recently upgraded to DS 6.9 SP2 but I'm not sure that has anything to do with it. I have tried several different images to no avail. If anyone has any suggestions, any help is appreciated. Thanks!!!

Syntax error?
Are you adding any command line options to your imaging task? If so, remove these (for now) and try again. If that works, double-check your command-line additions to ensure you've not made any typos. I once had an apostrophe in, and that was damn hard to see!

No Command Line Options
Thanks Ian for the quick reply. I'm at the point of wishing I had some wiggle room to play with some different options or settings, but I have everything set as default and as basic as possible with no additional parameters. Good thought though... Any other ideas?
Interesting Discovery
After trying several different things, including a complete re-install of the DS, I finally discovered that for some reason the images I created with 6.9 SP1 would not deploy, neither could I create images with the same jobs I used before. I created an entirely new job to take an image and it worked, and I can now deploy that image just fine... but none of the older images. Perhaps there is a way to make the SP1 images compatible with SP2, but I couldn't find a way.
Solution?
I'm not sure you should give your last comment as a solution. Can some one at Syamntec confirm SP2 really can't read SP1 image files?

SP1 vs. SP2
I do believe I saw other comments on here that state that some of the jobs that were created in DS prior to SP2 stop working, which results in recreating the job in SP2. I don't believe you have to redo the images though. I would think that Altiris would have their hands full if that were the case as everyone and their brother would be calling in and screaming at them.

As far as I can tell...
The reason I put that as the solution is because up until this point no one has been able to give me any reasonable explanation as to what happened and I hope that perhaps someone else with the same issue won't have to waste as much time as I did scouring the forum and trying several different fixes. As a side note, I did try to recreate the jobs and use the old images, but recieved the same error. If it wasn't the solution for you I apologize, but it was the solution for me. Perhaps there is someone who could shed further light in the future...
Solution
Might I suggest a small edit to the solution then so that another person who is searching for a smiliar issue doesn't immediatly think that SP2 can't read sp1 Image files. somethif like this

or something like that :)

Ok
Yeah if that's the problem... then 15+ images were corrupted somehow by upgrading to SP2. Strange that they can still be deployed in SP1 though, not a real good indicator of data corruption.
WOW
My goodness 15 images . Did you call support on this one? Maybe they could have you collect some logs, casue it still sounds like the command line was messed up. Also if you want to try something you could create a that drops you to the prompt on one your machines and manually run redeploy with one of the OLD sp1 images. BTW If the images still work on SP1 then of course the image file is not corrupted but thats not something you stated earlier. Good luck!
