Deployment Solution

Problem started a few days ago. Whenever I try to create an image from a machine Altiris goes through the steps of booting into automation, spins its wheels for a few minuites, then hangs. The console reports "RDeploy: The operation was cancelled ". This is also happening whe I try to distibute an image. I rebooted the deployment server, I also restarted the MTFTP & PXE Server services on my DC.

I have had this issue in the past where a new type of hardware arrived which had lots of built-in devices that took up a few drive letters, so when Altiris tried to map the F drive to the deployment share, it was unable to do so.

I fixed the issue by editing the boot image and changing the drive mapping so it used a higher letter.

Yes & no.  Yes the one system I am trying to create an image of is a new system type for me.  However, I can't distribute exisiting images to exisitng platforms either.  I can push software, but not images.

When rdeploy encounters an error it usually writes an rdlog file to the express share with more information. Did it write an log file?
