This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi Team,

I choose the option ALL_LOCAL_DRIVE for full backup and when I went to the log location "/usr/openv/netbackup/db/jobs/trylogs" it showed me the list of files related to particular job id (ex: 222.t, 223.t .......etc.,)

I choose the respective job id log file but it didn't show each and every file in the system( as I did full backup) it showed me list of some random files.........

so here is my question that when I choose ALL_LOCAL_DRIVE option does it backup every drive or not?...

if yes then why log file showed me only few list of systems files not all of them (((( do we have any other log files to see)))

Thank for your reply

Bharath

thats not what the trylogs are

To see if it backed up everything use the bar and scan your backups.

the only way I know to get a list of all the files NB is going to try to backup is with a dubug log.

I don't have to know how to spell....I work on Unix.

You are looking at wrong

You are looking at wrong place. The job database (all the directories under the job directory) is not reporting the files you are backing up.

you have to use the bplist or bpflist commands to get the file list of your backups.

If you use the default attributes in a policy, the directive will backup all your local mount points.

check this http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/netbackup-alllocaldrives-option-how-does-it-work

BUT you have to read the administration manual.
