  • 1.  Re-Installation of SEPM MR4 MP2

    Hi all,

Some days ago we planned to update our SEP MR1 to MR4 MP2. This went wrong, and after a conversation with Symantec they told to reinstall SEPM. So i removed it ( Used SQL Administrator credentials ). Now i have installed it from the MR4 MP2 folder, and after the installation, a new screen appeared with configuration setup. One example of a question being asked it how many clients will be managed by the management server. I am not sure if i need to do this configuring. Isnt this configuration backed up? Should i cancel that configuration setup and do a restore of the backup i made some days ago?
    I hope someone can advise.

    Thanks in advance.

    André

What all have you backed up (database,Server Certificate..etc)
Its not a good idea to restore contents of  MR1 database to MR4Mp2.

    Hi,

I followed all instructions on http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2007082112135948
The keystore timestamp is backed up. The database is also backed up. But you say that when a disaster happends while upgrading from MR1 to MR4, i should not restore that database?
