Hi all,

I'm trying to deploy Windows XP from my altiris DS server, but each time i try i have an error message.

i see Windows XP copying his files, but after a reboot i have this error message...

A Read Disk Error occured
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart...

i don't know how to correct this error message

i've made a test with Windows 7 silent install, it works fine.

could someone help me?

Possible solution

I will assume that your image is not broken and that your hardware is fine.

This may be a SATA issue. To test if this is the case set the bios to use "Native SATA Support" mode if it has one. If that works you will need to fix the issue by getting the proper drivers and adding them to your existing image.

Please test this and let me know the results.

Well the image is not corrupted, if i use it on another DS it works fine.

For the moment my test are on Vmware virtual machine, so no hardware trouble.
