Never mind... I was making it harder than it had to be. I added a rule that would check for system uptime ...

If you are running windows just look for the reboot event. That is what we do.

You can look in the system event log for event id 1074.

How would I go about configuring a monitor that would let me know that a server rebooted? I was thinking about comparing uptime performance monitor but I can't figure out how to make it work.

Never mind... I was making it harder than it had to be. I added a rule that would check for system uptime less than 10 minutes.
