Here is another case of I don’t know what I’m doing. I use ghost suite 2.0 to manage two labs in a training center. I have a few base images that I install client software on and am cloning all the time.
    Question One
When I use the CD’s I can clone 25 computers at one time in less than 20 minutes. With ghost console I can only do between 6 and 9 at one time in an hour and a half. If I do more it tends to fail. I have the same drivers as far as I can tell. Any Idea why console is so much slower?

    Question Two
I was cloning with ghost console this morning and had to cancel it because it was taking too long, so I then used CDs to boot and did a group of machines. Of the 10 machines I used the CD’s on, the 5 I had canceled earlier with ghost console took the image but are now in a constant reboot loop. The XP screen comes up, reboots, come to black screen stating did not start correctly gives me options for last known good configuration and what not but always reboots after displaying the XP logo. I think it has something to do with a virtual partition the ghost console puts on the hard drive but have no Idea how to fix it. Ideas? Thank you in advance.

On the console are you running one clone task or 9 tasks at once?   If you are doing 9 tasks at once they are all walking all over one another.   You would need to put the 9 computers in a group on the server and then run that task with the group selected not 9 individual tasks all running at once.

That is all I got for you.  Fill in some more info on what kind of task and how it is set up if I am getting it wrong.   Also in the console do you have the drivers updated and selected correctly for the 9 systems,   the cd may be updated and selected correctly but the console may be using an old version of the drivers or a wrong version compleatly.    is every thing windows PE or Dos?

    Thanks
