Hello,

We recently upgraded from a mixed environment of 11.x and 12.x SEP clients, to a fixed SEP 12.1.5 environent. Since then, we are seeing multiple cases where the PC reboots 60 seconds after the windows logon screen is reached, whether or not we logon.

The windows system logs state that the  DCOM server process launcher service terminated unexpectedly and or Plug and Play service terminated unexpectedly, resulting in windows automatically restarting the PC.

Any suggestions on where to start?

What components are installed? Have you tried with AV component only to start and then add additional ones after verifying no issues are present.. Might narrow it down to one specific component... What type of hardware? Same hardware on affected machines? Probably going to need to open a support case so they can have you enable advanced logging since its easily reproducible.

Reinstalling with SEP 12.1.2 results in the PCS booting up ok

Not all PCs are affected

Have you check the system requirement before installation?

May be the problem in created package recreate the package and try again. Either download the client setup from flexnet and install it ther or verify it.

Im having the same issue. Im installing SEP 32BIT 12.1.5337.5000 with all features. Im pushing the client through the server as well as saving the installation package and running it locally. 

I'll try pushing 12.1.4 to see if that makes a difference. 

12.1.4 Works fine.

Went back to 12.1.5 and the same problem keeps happening. 

Now, on 12.1.5 I did a Withdrawl on the Application and Device Control Policy from SEPM. It worked like a champ. I enabled the Policy back and the reboot loop started again.

I have the same problem with one of our customers. I did the installation in approximately 2600 machines installed, around 10 machines is with the infinite reboot.

Could you help me?

Have you tried to downoal the unamange package from flexnet and install it here?

tests performed

- The installation is done automatically through (Install Package) SEPM
- Created the installation package and run locally
- Created the package unmanaged

The problem was solved by removing the policies of Access Device Control, I believe the problem is related to drive SysPlant

same issue, after i upgrade to SEP 12.1.5 from SEp 12.1.2, with full protection client same stated above..

 

when i try to install Av and Sonar only, laptop will work fine.. 

is there anyway/solution to install full protection with out affecting or reboot loop?
