I was wondering if there is a way to configure the deployment settings to display a prompt for the user periodically that would remind them to reboot after an upgrade without making them continually reschedule a reboot?  Essentially, I want SEP to be annoying enough to get them to reboot on their own.

While I recognize that this is bad practice, it's the result of senior management disallowing workstation reboots by anyone but the user.

Not possible. You can only prompt and set a schedule. but nothing to prompt only.

You can do it using other Symantec products such as 7.0 of SEM

best thing would be to set this on Sunday say 3:00 AM.

push out the reboot cmd on Monday morning( SEPM-right click on group - reboot ), it would keep bugging them till sunday, max they can snooze is 4 hours, thats more than enough to get the machine rebooted.

Do you have SCCM in your environment perhaps you can push out a reboot cmd from SCCM once in a week. we have ours set at 2am every sunday.

Yes, I have mine set to 4 am each night, but the problem I have is that upper management has decided that we cannot reboot users' computers.  I have to rely on the user to do it for themselves.  Hence, my wish to annoy them with popups, but I didn't think it was possible.

    Thanks.
