Rebuilding netbackup master server in MS Cluster
Hi,
We are running netbackup 6.0MP4 in MS Cluster (mscs) (active/passive) envoirenment. few days back we ran out of space on disk (v:) where actully emm db and image db were installed.
to over come disk issue we added an new drive (W:) with more space to cluster as shared drive, and it prefectly added to cluster and was visible to both nodes in failover mode depending the which node is active at time.
in next step we align symantec engineer to move emm db to newly added drive W: and he did not froze the cluster and start running commands to move emm db. and suddenly cluster start failing over in loop to node 1 to node 2 and node 2 to node 1......
we thought some thing has gone bad with cluster and start truobleshooting it but could not find any thing and decided to shutdown node2 and move emm db on single node. after that our backups are running fine on single node. we disconnected the LAN connectivity of node2.
now we are planning to up the cluster again and i am not sure how to start.....
if i go and reinstall node2, reconfigure cluster and reinstall netbackup and then i have to move emm db to that W drive....restore catalog backup
or
try just move emm db to w drive as microsoft claims that nothing has gone bad with cluster.....and restore the freash catalog backup to node 2
any steps, whitepaper, technote,?
regards,
