Receiving the following in my logs. And my site servers seem to not be currently getting the new downloaded patches wondering if these are related:

    <event date='Oct 02 16:42:15' severity='1' hostName='SMPSPPW02' source='General' module='AeXSMClientStub.dll' process='AeXNSAgent.exe' pid='4884' thread='3324' tickCount='21174046' >
      <![CDATA[    003324: [ERR] CFileReconfig::UpdateConfiguration. Failed to get configuration file.]]>
    </event>

    Any ideas??

    Thanks,

    Misty

    Hello Misty,

    I always start with Patch Management configurations as detailed on KM: HOWTO56242 (specifically Section 7), which is part of the overall troubleshooting Patch outlined on KM: HOWTO79448. This will ensure the Patch Package storage location and configurations are in order.

    If the log is from the Site Server; being unable to get configuration file is going to cause problems, for the Site Server configurations hold the details of what it is to get from the SMP in terms of policies. Review the Site Server agent logs in the SMP Log Viewer (Diagnostic Pack found on KM: HOWTO5647) and see what other relative entries/errors or warnings are present, for there could be communications issues in IIS or other items that the logs will display when pushing an Update Configuration from the Site Server.

    Once you have the agent communications in order; review Site Server configurations and ensure they are in sync with the SMP as detailed for 7.1 SPx in KM: TECH159956 - Section 7, but also review other steps in this listing as they may prove helpful.

    Unfortunately, deeper troubleshooting is outside my realm of expertise from a Patch perspective as these are Core processes. Please post on the Management Platform forums, or feel free to contact the NS Core Support Team if further assistance is needed.

    Thank you,

    Joshua
