What is the current recommended best practice for SEP vis-a-vis enabling Outlook 2003 protection on Citrix servers??

I recall reading that Outlook protection should not be enabled on servers, and we do have an anti-spam appliance with anti-virus protection.

    Thank you, Tom

I would test this very thoroughly before enabling. Caused me too many problems just enabling on desktops/laptops.

I would stick with AV only for Citrix/Exchange.

I would suggest not to Install Email Plugins for Citrix servers.

Since you have Anti Spam and Exchange Protection installed. This will just be a overhead on these servers and can also cause issues.

I don't have Outlook protection installed on the Citrix servers, and SEP is properly installed on the Exchange 2003 server.

I'm sure I read a recommendation somewhere not to do so and I cannot find it again because I can't recall if I read it on a Symantec page or where I read it etc.

    Thank you, Tom
