Redeem reward points
Updated: 14 Sep 2010 | 3 comments
When I send a request to redeem my points, I've received an email like this. Has anyone received this??
Ronny,
Due to some unusual activity on your account we have found it necessary to conduct an audit of your point total. During this audit we have found that your account information has been misrepresented and consequently it seems that this account is being used to promote and acquire points for your own gain and not for the benefit of the Symantec Connect site or its users.
At this time we are removing your points and marking this account “User Point Exempt”. You may still contribute to the Symantec Connect site, but you will not be awarded points for your contributions.
Thank you,
CS

Not sure what triggered this,
Not sure what triggered this, but I do know that a while ago, Symantec caught five or six individuals "gaming" the system to build up points rapidly
I'd contact Symantec directly and see if they can explain why your account was flagged and see if they will reverse it.
If this response answers your concern, please mark it as a "solution"
hi Ken, any update
hi Ken, any update here??
This is very unfair, I don't understand what does make they think like that.
I think symantec is blocking people who score more points with no reason.. since they have to spend for rewards
Ronny
Ken was stating that you
Ken was stating that you should contact support to see if they can reinstate things.
Ken spends a lot of time here, but does not have any more access to account settings than you or I.
Contact support, see if you can get a response, but I do not know if your odds are good.
