  • 1.  Redirect not working in 7.0

    hi,

    I'm trying to redirect my clients to the new NS server. I've setup a poliy under tageted agent settings and in the advanced section put in the new NS server. the policy is on. the target is a custom filter of the machines I want to change.

    I have also excluded this custom filter from the normal desktop computers policy so theres no conflict. The agent receives the new policy but doesn't redirect.

    any ideas ?

    Check the Altiris log on the agent. Maybe the new servername is put in wrong, it won't switch if it can't see the new server.

    yeah - I had the correct server in. I've just created a policy that will run a task containing script with the aexagentutil /server:server.com command. Seems to be working fine.

    Any Task Server or package Server available between the server and client
