Can anyone advise on restoring/reenabling auto-potection on my Symantec client anti-virus software. I ran an update yesterday and it looks as though a virus was quarantined and then deleted, but since then I have noticed tha the symantec icon on the tool-bar menu has a cross through it indicating that the auto-protect feature has been disabled. When I try to restore it, it activates for a couple of seconds and then switches itself off again. I checked in the configuration settings of the antivirus control panel and there it does look as it is displaying as enabled! Is there an easy way to confirm which Symantec product I am using?
Any thoughts/solutions? I am not at all technical so go easy on me!
