Regarding Client automatically changing its group.

Hello,
I have a problem regarding the client automatically changing its group randomly.
I tried this procedure listed on the link. http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH98339
Then I left the default group without checking the "Block new client", so that I will check if this will be occur again. But what I observed is that some PCs are change its group to default group. Is there any solution on it?
What is the impact/effect or result if I checked the “Block new client” on all group on my SEPM including the Default group? Where will the newly installed client be resides?
In addition, what is the difference between RU7 and SEP 12?
I will appreciate any suggestions and feedback.

If u check that option, now new clients will not be added to the groups.
RU7 is upgraded for symantec 11.0.6 versions, however 12.1 has lot of additional features compared to 11.0.7,

so it means that when I install SEP on a new client pc it will no longer be manage and it will not report on the SEPM?
Also will the new version of SEP which is SEP 12 will solve this particular issue?

Log-on to SEPM console.
On the Client group, go to Policies--> Communication settings
on the Reconnection Preferences, you will see two check box option. just check the appropriate box that best fit on your current set-up.
Make sure the SEP client of that group will receive the new policy and then observe.

what deployment method did
what deployment method did you use in deploying the clients? We also experienced the same problem. When we deploy our new PCs here in the office. we used image of the OS with SEP installed on it. We found out that the device ID of our new SEP clients are all the same thats why it automatically change its group. We just reinstalled the SEP on our clients. and for our image. we created again an image with no SEP installed.

We also do the same as yours. What will be the solution for these? actually i opened the case regarding this and the solution that is given to us is to upgrade the sepm to new version which is the version 12.1 but still the same problem exist. Same Problem with 12.1.1000.157
I noticed the same Problem with SEP 12.1 RU1 Version 12.1.1000.157. A Server apears several times in different Groups and automatically changing its group randomly. Only one Server apears as Online all others are offline but it's still the same one Server. And it happens only to one specific Server.
