I am a doubt about the port. I have installed SEPM in my personal computer, will any port related work on it?

I am clearing there is no firewall. So no port block. So access of port not be for this scnerio?

Not be apply in your scenario.

Same VLAN you don't need to open any port.

You need to open SEPM to symantec live update port.

As long you can browse to these websites then there should not be problem

They use port 80 for downloading defintion

Communication port we use 8014 do telenet from client you can check is there any block.

Is it automatically update or manually process for personal.

IF sepm Update Virus defination and client are communicate SEPM,SEP client will update automatic.

It is new installation. I run live update manually. Is it automatically update or i daily manually?
 

Next time If  you have set schedule it will update automatic.

SEPM uses 8014 to talk to client. Verify you don't have any other programs installed that use 8014 (doubt you do).

Best off dedicating a box for SEPM in this case.

I will set and will check it will be update or not.

It is fresh installation and only SEPM installed. I will check again.
