    Hi every body,

    My self Suneel, I am facing a critical problem with Symantec Endpoint Protection Antivirus, After I scanned my Pen drive with symantec endpoint protection 11.0, i was unable to copy or write any data to the pen drive. Kindly provide the needfull information...........thanx in advance

    the error is showing as Write protect , access denied

    Hi Suneel,

    Do you have any Application / device control policy in place, please check. Take a machine and try to install only AV/AS component and then chekc whether you can Wite/Copy to the PEN drive.

    Secondly which version of SEP are you using??

    Please answer SAM's info request, btw does your pen drive have a write-protect  switch. (a small switch)

    With only AV/AS, its working fine. SEP version is 11.0,. There is no device control polices o0n my system,

    Waiting for the solution at the earliest

    The drive itself could be damaged. Can you read and write to the pen drive on another PC which does not have SEP, and can you use another drive successfully on this machine? Were you able to write to it before scanning with SEP? Have you used it for a long time or was this the first time with the SEP machine?

    If you are really using the first GA of SEP, you will definitely want to upgrade to MR4 then MR4 MP1a.
    There are many issues with the first build.
