  • 1.  registry entries that DLP agent modifies

    Hello ,

We have a problem where we are able to install DLP agent manually on endpoint. however after uninstall , it does not install giving an error saying unable to start watchdog services.

we suspect that uninstall was not clear and hence need to know what registry entries are modified by the agent that we can delete before retrying.

we have disabled SEP also so do not suspect it to be issue.

if someone can share registry entries that i need to delete it will be great help.

    Rgds,

    Ankit S.

In order to reinstall Endpoint agent follow the below steps.

Open registry Editor and take the backup of below registry before deleting it.

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\UpgradeCodes\A7288D8F16C4659468C66EA6B6030E2A

    Run the installation again.

There are 2 entries that needs deletion  one is the upgradecode above and second is product code

Once that is removed please run REVO uninstaller and there are 36 entries that needs to be removed.

Upon completion install will not throw any errors due to registry settings.
