  • 1.  Reimaging MacBook Pro with PGP installed on it

    Hello,

Is it possible to reimage a MacBook Pro with PGP previously installed on it? The reason why I am asking is because I performed a 7 pass erase on a machine that had PGP installed on it and then I reinstalled 10.6 on it via TD mode. However, when I boot the machine, all I see is the Apple icon. No spinning wheel appears (the icon that indicates that the OS is loading). It just sits at the grey screen with the apple logo and never boots. Am I dead in the water? I tried flashing the PRAM but this did not dfix the issue. Any ideas? Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It's possible but only after deleting the partition tables off the disk using the disk utility from the recovery CD. If you don't do that part, and you just "erase" the partition. It still leaves the PGPWDE boot code on the drive and will fail to boot.

I would try a recovery image from our support site for the version of PGP that was installed on the Mac before you reinstalled the OS.
