  • 1.  réinitialisation impossible mot de passe SEPM

    Bonjour à tous,

    problème avec SEP 12.1.4 au retour des vacances (sur Windows Server 2012) : on a oublié le mot de passe de la console... jusque là rien de très grave mais il semble que ça n'ait pas été configuré correctement et lorsqu'on demande l'envoi du mail de réinitialisation (à l'écran de connexion de SEPM), on obtient bien le message "password reset mail was sent..." mais il n'envoie rien. Confirmé par une capture wireshark : aucune communication vers l'extérieur ou même vers localhost. crying

    Existe-t-il un autre moyen de RAZ ce fichu mot de passe ? Va-t-on devoir tout réinstaller ?

    You are not be require to reinstall. There is a script which can help to reset(After reset username and password both are admin)

    Check the Harry H comment. He has pasted the reset tool in comment as text copy it and try it.

    Do not use the tool resetpass.bat to reset the administrator password on Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.1.1 or later. This tool is intended for use with earlier versions, and is not supported for later versions. The use of resetpass.bat with later versions may corrupt the installation.     Try to find out recipient email address with the help of following steps:

    Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\etc

    Open mailConfig.properties file with the help of Notepad.

    You will find following entry:

    "adminMailReciptants=abc@symantec.com"

    In this example abc@symantec.com is the recipient email address.

    Check the inbox of specified email address.

    If there is not any specific email address then need to reset the password using resetpass.bat file from either of the Earlier version of SEP setup (if you have any)

    Why are you giving out info like this?? This is something that should come from Symantec when the customer actually calls in, not publicly available for all eyes to see.

    Merci à tous pour votre aide.

    Lorsque que j'édite mailConfig.properties, l'adresses saisie est bonne mais je pense que c'est la configuration du serveur de mail qui ne va pas.
    Dans l'hypothèse d'une connexion à un serveur smtp sans authentification, comment doivent être remplis les champs de ce fichier, particulièrement les lignes mailPwd= et mailAdmin= ?

    Mailpwd is encrypted password 

    MailAdmin should be blank

    have you tried all the above mentioned methods and tried 

    user name :admin

    password :admin
