I blew it and uninstalled Live Update. How can I reinstall it? tia
I had to do this. Support indicated you may have to R&R BE to register it with LiveUpdate. In my case I didn't and it appears to be working ok (except for the RDP bug).
Clarification - you would have to R&R BE to reregister it with LiveUpdate if you delete the Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate folder or the Product.Catalog.LiveUpdate file contained therein.

KyleWhen Backup Exec is installed it checks for the presence of Live Update. If it is not there then we install it After installing Live Update we then install the Backup Exec program and register it with Live Update.If you uninstall Live update Backup Exec should still remain registered with the program. You can then install any versions of Live Update and we should correctly pull down updates.If for any reason we have become unregistered with Live update, you can launch Backup Exec and select the Tools | Live Update dialog.
