Hi all, are someone have a release date for the MP1 of SEP 12.1 ?

We have deployed 11RU7 (manager and clients), and as I know SEPM 12.1 can't managed SEP 11RU7. So we wait for MP1 to upgrade to 12.1.

I've heard a tentative time frame of November.

No idea about the release date bt to Upgrade it to SEP 12.1 u can upgrade it. But yes if you want SEPM only to be upgraded then its not possible to manage RU7 cleints with SEPM12.1

It's quite difficult to tell exact time frame but yes it may release within next 2 months.

Ok, will SEPM 12.1 MP1 have the possibility to manage SEP client in 11RU7 and 11RU7 MP1 ?

it can manage the clients today, you just cannot upgrade SEPM from RU7 to 12.1 RTM

So just to confirm will the new release of 12.1 MP1 in Novemeber allow users to upgrade SEPM RU7?

Hello titanic9112001, SEPM 12.1 RU1 was released last year (21/11/2011) for the French version.

I've upgrade our SEPM from 11RU7MP1 to 12.1RU1 few time after and start deploying SEP on test client.

I've noticed a big RAM consumation and stop deployement for client that have less than 2Go of RAM. Client become unsusable if less than 2Go of RAM.

SEP 12.1 seem to been heavier than 11RU7. We're looking at Sophos product now.

Hi, what OS are you using? We have 12.1 on Windows XPs and everything is working fine at the moment.

Also check for the features on SONAR. I think the heuristic scanning and perhaps the Insight would at first require a tad more CPU and RAM resource time until all the required data for building your company's application whitelist is completed.
