  • 1.  Remote command killed & keepalive

    Hello all,

I wanted to know for how much time are remote commands kept on the management server, and if they are "killed" after a reboot of the client being scanned.

I am asking this because sometimes, when i launch a remote command of full scan, either the endpoint does not send the logs or the management server does not receive them. Some commands are shown as "In progress" when in fact they appear to be completely stopped, even after a reboot.

If the commands are being killed after a reboot, is there any way to resume them from where they were? Or does the command have to start all over again?

    Let me know,

    Thanks,

    Alessandro

The client will check-in with the SEPM and receive the command. The command will stay on the SEPM until the client picks it up. A reboot of the client should not affect this.

Hello Brian, thanks for the reply.

That's ok, but if i send the command, the client receives it and then it's rebooted (even while a scan is in progress) does the scan continue where it left off or does the command have to be launched again and the scan started over?

    I await your kind reply,

    Thanks,

    Alessandro

You would need to restart if it was interrupted.
