remote connection request

I just upgraded PC Anywhere from 12.1 to 12.5.  I cannot connect to the host computer from the remote.  When I try the host computer gets a message "PCAnywhere is receiving an imcoming connection request" followed by the computer ID thumbprint.  I was able to connect with 12.1.  What is happening in 12.5?

I have the same issue.  I get a window on the client that says PCAnywhere is trying to connect and it gives me a thumbprint, but nothing else.  It does not have an accept/deny buttons on anything that actually works.  I do have correct admin permissions on the client.  If anyone has any ideas what I can do to get this product working, please let me know.  I would appreciate it.

The thumb print is new in 12.5.5 (sp4) .   12.5.5 is not backwards compatible.   You will need to upgrade the host and the remote to 12.5.5 or later or downgrade your host to 12.5.1 or earlier.  

Information on the code breach that triggered the updated and the cut to compatabilty to all versions that could be vulnerable.

"As a result of the security updates, this new version of pcAnywhere is not backward-compatible with, and will not connect to, older versions of pcAnywhere.

Symantec recommends that customers install the latest version of pcAnywhere (12.5 SP4 or Solution 12.6.7) and follow general security best practices. The latest version of pcAnywhere includes all previous hot fixes and the updated security model."
