  • 1.  Remote Control Lag

We just rolled out 19 new computers into our network. They are just standard XP machines, Core 2 duo processors, and they have 4 gigs of ram. The only thing different from them then our previous versions is that they are using the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295 256MB PCI-E card. We were able to install the regular AClient ok (we have been having serious problems with DAgent) and we have used the AClient and deployment console on the computers for quite a few software packages. Unfortunately, when we use Remote Control to access the system it... well LAG is the best way to describe it. It is almost like the screen is updating 1 frame every 4 seconds. The real fun part, is that the effect is actually happening on the computer as well, not just in the remote console window. The entire computer takes a long time to refresh, but it I type a series of commands to it, the computer will run them normally. It's a very odd problem to describe, and I haven't had any luck searching for it.

We are running Deployment Console 6.9(Build 437) it's on Service Pack 3.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Trevor

I was FINALLY able to come across the solution. It turns out there is a problem with the NVidia driver that HP ships and has on their site. When I went out to NVidia's website on a rebuild I was working on the problem no longer occurs.

Sounds like drivers on the computer itself.  Glad you got this figured out.
