Client Management Suite

We are looking to deploy 7.6 soon but we are not sure how Altiris works with 3rd party Remote Control, Symantec stated there is no built in RC and suggested Bomgar, this seems over kill for an internal support team and also we are concerned about WAN traffic.

Currently we have a mixed bag of RC tools with Dameware being the most prevalant, I am told that we can not integrate DW into Altiris?

I just wondered what people normally deploy for remote control, we would prefer to have it integrated into the Altiris solution.

We migrated to Bomgar and love it.  For our small team, the 2 seats you get with CMS are enough.  I didn't bother to integrate it into CMS, the bomgar rep console runs great as is (you can search by user, etc), so it seems to be more trouble than it's worth to bother with the CMS console when we want to remote into a machine.

Bomgar was way too much for us as we have the need of up to 80 simultaneous connections.

We used to use an app that is now end of life and cant buy licenses for anymore - Timbuktu

Now we are venturing to RealVNC - dirt cheap and works for what we need. We havent implemented it yet
