    Posted Jun 19, 2012 07:05 AM

Using SEPM, the remote push of sep 12.1 works fine within the head office local site. But if I try to remote push to a client at a remote site, the file takes long to copy and after 5 minutes the deployment stops. Is there anyway I can store the installation files at the remote site and remote push from those source files instead from head office? that way it would be much faster. Any ideas???

    Hello,

    Try Push Deployment Wizard.

What sort of link does your HQ and Remote Site have?

How many Endpoints at remote site - candidate for a GUP?

Have you tried creating a "basic content" package to see if that works too?  Because if that doesn't work there's a configuration issue and not the link I'd guess

Push deployment wizard works. But is it possible to scan a subnet for active machines to deploy to ? There is no option to select basic content. And neither can I export a package with just basic content in sepm

With home page deployment in sepm this was possible

    Hello,

No. it is not Possible with Push deployment, to scan a subnet for active machines for deployment.

I believe, "weevil" wants you to create a small package with either only AV/AS feature only OR a package without any definitions.
