We've almost 300 SEP clients and a SEPM.  We've 1MB e1 connectivity for our remote locations. Among 300 clients, 200 clients are at 10 remote location. They are taking update from SEPM. I've also assign 10 GUP(group update provider). No bandwidth problem with our local users(100users).

The problem is with our remote clients, when they remain connected with SEPM my bandwidth for those remote location exceed 1 MB. Network become too conjusted. I've to use this connectivity for anothe purpose. What else can I do for this 200 remote clients to manage them and to solve this bandwidth issue ? SEP version 12.1.2.....

    Hi,

You should recheck clients are taking updates from SEPM or GUP?

Make sure remote clients are set to pull mode and heartbeat interval is set to 30 minutes.

Just make sure if they are indeed getting udpates from GUP

you can view the logs under

Monitors > Logs > Log type: System > Log content: Client activity > View log:

GUP is the only solution to your BW problem...

In your GUP settings window raise the maximum disk cache size from default 500MB to 3000MB as well as raise delete content updates if unused from 3 days to 6 days.
