I've read several blogs, documentation, and forums regarding the topics of Remote SEPM reporting java version and custom ports for SEPM and SEP. The desktop jre version was upgraded to 6u4 - 6u7 and then back down to default 5u15. All features of sepm reporting function correctly when in the same zone as the SEPM server.

The question I have if both IIS and conf.properties were modified to use only 443 instead of 80, but then SEPM fail to stay running, What files and or configuration must be modified to get r-sepm fully functional over port 443 or the reporting features only works over port 80?

We are running SEPM 11MR4 and clients communicates seemlessly over port 443.

You can reconfigure thie server settings using the Management Server Configuration Wizard.
And I suggest you use the application instead of modifying any of Symantec's configuration files.
