I know it can be manually removed via add/remove programs . . . but is there a method from SEPM console to remove the client from a machine?
If so, does it require a reboot afterwards?

you can also use gpo to uninstall it, or psexec and call msi with uninstall option.

Select Software installation and right-click on the software package that you are interested in removing.
Select "All Tasks" and then "Remove". When prompted for the removal method select "Immediately uninstall the software from users and computers" (default).
