I'm getting to frustrated trying to aquire the SAV removal tool for SAV 10.x.  All I can find is the nonav.exe tool that supports all legacy versions up to 9.x.  And when I try to run it in desperation that it will remove 10.x, it doesn't.  And it's almost impossible to find a technical support email address for symantec.  If anyone has the removal tool for 10.x and could provide it that would be awesome.

Hello,

NoNav 2.49 will remove 10.x from your system. I couldn't find it on a Symantec site, so I've uploaded our copy here:

Hope this helps.

Hello,
I would also like to thank you for this. I have been trying for days to find this. My question is this. Is there way to run this tool silently from a logon script? I would like to run it on 100 client machines without any interaction.

Thanks,
Tony

Unfortunately Symantec's packaged the nonav and the other cleaning tool (name escapes me) into an exe where it does prompt.  What I had to do when running through a script was create instructions in notepad of each screen and the option that they had to choose.  It's the long way to do it, but it works...

In earlier versions of the tool a batch file controlled it and you could change an option inside the batch file to make it run in passive mode.

Unfortunately calling the uninstaller doesn't remove all remnants of the software.  Nonav was created so it would remove what the normal uninstaller wouldn't.

Well that's not good. Thanks for letting me know. I've removed the file from my site and requested my hosting provider to scan their system.

NoNav Files

I think you'll find that that the detection was a false positive.
However, NoNav is no longer supported or used.
It was packaged using Symantec's Packager, which is just a self extracting zip file format.

Well....

@SymBatch

"It was packaged using Symantec's Packager, which is just a self extracting zip file format."

So?

Isn't that the way all Symantec utilities like cleanwipe, RX4defs, sylinkreplacer, SymBatch.........made?

But then I agree that it is a false positive if you have downloaded it from the fileshare of symantec.
I think Symantec should also include an MD5 along with all their utilities as almost all the support tools are caught as trojans by some antivirus or the other because of their operation and packaging. You can test that by uploading it on virustotal.

De facto when AV does something, it starts jumping up and down, waving its arms, and shouting "Hey!  I found a virus!  Look at me!  I'm soooo goooood!"
