You can use sepprep utility which is present in Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_11.0.6A_Xplat_EN_DVD\Tools\NoSupport\CompetitiveUninstall for this. You can refer the pdf file present in same folder for more information.

hi arvind & pete,

I have tested SEPrep, it needs user interaction.

Is there any removal that can actually automate everything?

SEPrep only helps for Mcafee & ESET

You can use \Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_11.0.6A_Xplat_EN_DVD\Tools\NoSupport\CompetitiveUninstall\Old\CompetitiveUninstallWrapper also for this...
