Hi,

Even though you removed it from system try it would be available under Start--> Programs

I would suggest prevent the SEP feature from being disabled in the client GUI.

Hello Ajay

1) Its all about your requirement, it you simply want to remove the Notification Icon with no special purpose then follow the article below. (works for both 11 and 12)

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH102884

2) If you do not want the user to open the SEP Client Console then you can password protect and for the same please follow the below article.

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/dis...

3) If you want the user to open the Client GUI, however does not want to allow the user to Dsiable the AV, then follow the below link.

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH102822

Let us know if you need any additional help..!!

Quickest way is:

Clients tab

Select your respective group which you want to do this for

Policies tab

Click + sign next to Location-specific Policies

Click link next to Client User Interface Control Settings

Select Customize

Clear the check mark for Display the notification area icon

Click OK

Click OK again

Policy change will take place and yor client will download the policy upon next heart beat and icon will be removed.
