Removing 64bit Clients from Protection Server

I recently installed Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition on a server that has a small hard disk, and I'm wondering if it is possible to remove the 64bit client installation package(s) from the server as this would free up valuable space.

Thanks

Dej

Which packages?

Hello,

Please Elaborate whether you are taking about the Packages which you manually created.

OR

Are you taking about the coming with the Symantec Protection Center.?

If those packages were the one's which you manually created by Exporting them on the Harddrive, then ofcourse you could delete them. You could recreate packages whenever you require.

There is no SEP product for

There is no SEP product for Linux systems. You will need to install Symantec AntiVirus for Linux. This should be included in the installation zip file of SEP

Enter subject (optional)

To the OP:

You can remove older packages, but you cannot remove the newest package of each type (32-bit, 64-bit, Mac)

Hey all, sorry for the time

Hey all, sorry for the time it has taken to get back to you

I'm talking about the packages that came with Symantec Protection Server, not ones I created manually. There is no need for us to use the 64bit package at present and deleting any un-needed files to free up space would help me a lot.

If I can not remove the packages, can I move them to another drive?

Thanks

Dej

The installation packages are

The installation packages are stored in the database, which is in whatever directory you installed to. You cannot move them without changing where the product is installed (C, D, etc).
