removing Images on disk storage when they hit the end of the retention period

I'm running NB 6.0MP5 and backing up to an Exagrid disk storage unit.

I'd like backups to be deleted when they reach the end of the retention period rather than allowing the DSU to get to the high water mark, and then have them removed.

Is there an option to do this someplace?

Hi,
The backup images on a normal DSU should be deleted automatically. What version of netbackup are you using?

Thanks

Hi!

From NB Admin Console->Catalog, find your backup image and make them expire

Looking for an automated way, otherwise, we're in there doing that every day.

Probably a cmd line method for doing it we can stick in cron I guess.

I will recomend to upgrade to 6.5 and use the Storage Lifecycle Policy option of this version which will expire, delete and ensure that you have a duplicate of your images before it deletes them, check this white paper and maybe you can try this solution
